About Us

Welcome to our world at Still Waters Coffee Company, where coffee isn't just a beverage—it's a journey. As a small-batch coffee roasting company, we take pride in curating unique blends that celebrate the origin of the bean itself. But it's not just about the beans; it's about our shared love for Jesus, people, and adventure. We believe in fostering connections, whether it's through the warm embrace of a perfectly brewed cup or the joyous spirit of shared experiences (preferably in the outdoors!).

AT STILL WATERS, WE'RE NOT JUST PASSIONATE ABOUT COFFEE; WE'RE PASSIONATE ABOUT LIFE!

Come join us on this caffeinated adventure, where every sip is a celebration, and every moment is an opportunity to spread love and joy. Because here, we're not just roasting coffee; we're bringing people together for community (and fun!).

Our Story

Still Waters started out of a place of hurry in my life and my families life. I was not in a healthy place in regards to my priorities. If you knew me, you would have probably thought “Nick, you are doing fine. Your life is great man, what are you even complaining about?” And you were right. . .Life was amazing, but deeper inside I felt quick to anger and slow to listen. So I began to pursue some changes in my work, our family life, my spiritual disciplines, and the books I was reading. All to grow in a practice of how to “slow down”.

While doing this, I was also having conversations with many others (mainly men) and most agreed with me they were having very similar feelings. They also wanted a simpler life but it was much easier said than done. As I continued to learn more about who my God was (and still is!) and the direction He was leading me, I was lead into a conversation with Ty Carter about some design work for the clothing company (how this all started).

Well, God was moving in our conversation because it did not take us long to connect on a deeper spiritual level. Ideas connected. Dreams aligned. Desires for Heaven on Earth were vivid. Fast forward some and it was clear God’s favor was with us each time we met. One of the biggest things we wanted to do was “love people really well” and share the hope of Jesus with people.

Through the clothing, it was aligned with "wearing our faith" and creating conversation because of what was on our clothes (much like a tattoo does). But, as Ty and I kept talking, it was clear that a coffee shop was more in line with what we desired. We could pursue a dream, show others how to dream, love others really well whenever we served them, give them a physical space to slow down, but also become a place of encouragement to show them how to go out and live an unhurried life with their family, friends, and even their inner self.

Many other ideas are already in the works, but we both can sometimes get caught up in putting the cart before the horse, so for now. . .The focus is on making “really good coffee and loving people really well”. And we will see where our journey takes us!
